Sprinter Van Snorkel Install And Why You Need One

We haven’t drilled a new hole in our van since we first built it out in California back in 2018. That changed this week when we drilled 5 teeny holes and one large hole for a snorkel. Why a snorkel? Well, the assumption is that snorkels are for river crossings but that is not the main reason people install them. Snorkels help bring in cleaner air from a higher vantage point to keep your engine running more smoothly while on dusty dirt roads. We spend a decent amount of time traveling dirt roads and it’s something we should’ve done sooner.
